Background

Nepal Treasure Carbon Pvt. Ltd. (NTC), established in December 2024, is a private carbon project developer headquartered in Manbhawan-5, Lalitpur, Nepal. The company is dedicated to advancing climate action through the development and implementation of high-quality carbon projects through clean cooking initiatives that reduce greenhouse gas emissions while generating environmental, social, and economic benefits for local communities.

Many households in Nepal still depend on traditional firewood cook stoves, leading to high fuel consumption, indoor air pollution, deforestation, and greenhouse gas emissions. To address these challenges, Nepal Treasure Carbon Tech Pvt. Ltd. launched the Improved Cook Stove (ICS) Programme, replacing traditional stoves with certified high-efficiency cook stoves. The programme supports cleaner cooking, improves public health, reduces carbon emissions, and contributes to Nepal's sustainable development and climate goals through international carbon finance.
